After flower, fruit and ayurvedic facial, dry fruit facial is the new entrant to skin treatment. Be it acne, dark complexion, dark circles, dryness of the skin or other beauty related problems, dry fruit facial is proving to be a sought after solution for skin ailments.

"This is a new technique and more and more people are now using it. Dry fruit facial has benefited several of my clients. It nourishes the skin and makes it glow. The facial treatment is popular among the males as well," said Shilpa Sharma, a beauty parlour owner in Bangalore.

Under the therapy, cashew nuts, almonds and coconuts are applied to particular skin types. It can be applied to any age group without any side effects.

Selection of dry fruit is done on the basis of the type and requirement of skin. Dry fruits are converted into pulp and are massaged through toning technique. Later a face mask is applied as per the requirement of the skin. Dry fruit massage is never done on sensitive skin and proper skin safety measures are taken before applying it, Sharma said.

The cost of applying dry fruit facial comes at a minimum cost of Rs.100 and could go up to Rs.1,000, depending on the ingredients and parallel treatment done along with it.

"We have been giving dry fruit facial to our clients and results have been quite good. Among all, almond facial has been the most popular," said Megha Tiwari, who runs a beauty parlour here.

"Ayurvedic facial has multiple benefits and do not cause any skin problem. It not only maintains proper blood circulation but also keeps the face wrinkle-free and glowing for long," Tiwari added.

Along with the more poplar dry fruit and ayurvedic variants, neem and global facials are also in heavy demand these days. However, according to experts, before undertaking any skin treatment, one should always discuss it with beauty consultants.
